How can acoustic insulation and underfoot comfort of floor coverings be improved with minimal increase in construction height?

The insulating underlay UZIN RR 183 is only 4 mm thick yet it provides high acoustic control (acoustic improvement factor without covering: 27 dB) and, due to its inherent stabilising rigidity, ensures good load distribution and dimensional stability of the covering. Onto the loose-laid insulating underlay, using suitable UZIN dispersion adhesives, dimensionally stable textile and needlepunch coverings with no area limits, and PVC or cushioned vinyl coverings up to a maximum area of 40 m², can be installed. If the underlay is bonded to the substrate, there are no area limitations. The top covering must be suitable for use on resilient underlays.
